The Laufpump in Międzychód is a cast-iron pump from 1912, located at the intersection of Kilińskiego and 17 Stycznia Streets. It draws water from a 150-meter-deep artesian well, rich in trace elements, including iodine, magnesium, and sulfur, with a noticeable odor of hydrogen sulfide. Locals enjoy using it for culinary purposes, appreciating the water's unique flavor. Next to this well, there is another artesian well in town, and their presence contributed to the establishment of a local spa in 1925. When passing through, be sure to make a short stop and sample the natural, mineral water straight from the pump.
