Boël Castle – Hamlet of Marteau, Falaën
Hidden in the leafy hamlet of Marteau, near the Molignée River, stands the charming Boël Castle. Built around 1910 by the Boël family, this elegant Neo-Renaissance structure is notable for its light-colored natural stone, tall, narrow windows, and playful corner turrets.
Its peaceful location, surrounded by trees and close to the ruins of Montaigle, makes it a picturesque stop on your journey through the valley. From here, you can easily discover the picturesque village of Falaën, one of the “Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia,” and enjoy the green landscapes between Samson and Lesse.
