The trail over the Elferstein is a beautiful alternative on the path between the Sausteigalm and the Zwölferhorn; highly recommended. The view of Lake Wolfgangsee is wonderful.
Details:
After the Sausteigalm, the trail splits. Straight ahead, it continues across piste meadows (if you like it; the normal route is uphill). To the left, however, the trail over the Elferstein branches off. On this beautiful trail, which soon disappears into the forest, the hiker is completely alone, as, strangely enough, many people take the trail over the piste.
