Deià lies directly on the edge of the Tramuntana Mountains near the northwest coast of Mallorca. This fascinating little town, with its towering, original stone houses, is situated 400 meters above sea level on the 1,064-meter-high Puig de Teix. The idyllic landscape surrounding the mountain village is characterized by holm oaks, olive trees, rushing mountain streams, and the sparsely visited coastline that surrounds it. Deià, which borders the municipalities of Sóller, Valldemossa, and Bunyola, has a population of just under 700.

The town is divided into three zones: the upper zone, located on the hill; the middle zone, which runs parallel to the Valldemossa-Sóller road; and the lower zone, called es clot, which forms the core of the town. The name Deià is said to be derived from Arabic and translates as "field" or "village." In the 16th and 17th centuries, residents built numerous watchtowers to protect the town from pirate attacks. While the town was notorious for smuggling in the early 19th century, it now thrives on luxury tourism, which has developed in recent decades.

The art alone does not make this space below the museum, but in combination with the two historical cannons and the museum in the background, it is a nice place.

There are sometimes drinking water wells. Right next to it is worth a visit to a grocery store. The nearby green area gives the opportunity to prepare the same products and eat there.
