The hilly inland dune landscape with the juniper heath is definitely a special highlight in the region. Certainly not so nice is the fact that the Elter Sand traverses a power line, but the regular cutting measures of the power grid operator have released this particularly valuable juniper heath as a relic of the heath period only and continuously received.

Beautiful, very rare, juniper heath in the Elter dunes. Above it runs a power line, which required a constant pruning of the deciduous trees. So the juniper bushes and the heathland were preserved. Through the inland dunes a narrow trail runs from Pfifferlingsweg across to Flöddertstraße.
The landscape is unique and very beautiful. In between, the bright yellow broom lights up.
