The landscape is of rare beauty: black cliffs crowned with bright green meadows, checkered fields rising up the hill, and one of the country's most surprising archaeological sites. The place called Fahan brings together over 400 dry-stone huts, gathered in small clusters, circular forts and underground passages. These beehive-shaped huts are called clochán in Gaelic.
