The Tash-Hauli Palace, rebuilt in 1830 for Alla-Kuli Khan, his four wives and his concubines, with three courtyards (harem, festival and court courtyard) and many rooms and iwans, because the old one (the Kohna Ark fortress) had become too small and too old for him. In one courtyard there is a yurt, because it could be heated in winter. - As a museum, the palace has been made unlovingly, long rows of things lined up, often not labeled in English, confusing in structure (which path leads where? 2 unlabeled entrances!, which lead to different parts!?!).
