The brick church in Zembin was built in 1903-1904 on the site of an old wooden Holy See. The temple was consecrated in 1908. In the 1930s, the Soviet authorities closed the church. During World War II, the building was slightly damaged. After the war, the Soviet authorities turned it into a warehouse for agricultural products and a threshing floor. In 1965, for the filming of one of the war scenes of the movie "Roll Call", in which Nikita Mikhalkov played the main roles, the altar wall of the church was blown up with dynamite. It is noteworthy that the restoration of the church was financed by Anatoly Kapsky, chairman of the board of the BATE football club. It was here that he was buried when he died.
