The history of the temple began in 1640, when the Dominican Order appeared in these places. The first monastery and wooden church were destroyed in a fire in 1790. At that time, Zembin belonged to the Khreptowicz family. From 1790 to 1809, a new brick church building was built in the Baroque classicism style, which was then somewhat damaged during the war of 1812. Since the 1930s, the majestic temple has been gradually deteriorating. In 2022, the southern side wall of the church partially collapsed. Now the ruins are surrounded by a metal fence.
