It's best to climb from the Alpengasthof Edelbrunn to the Jungfrauensteig trail, then continue up to the mailbox. If you wish, you can write a card to your loved ones. The town of Schladming takes care of postage and mailbox collection. Cards and pens are available in the box next to the mailbox. In good weather, you'll be rewarded throughout the entire hike with magnificent views of the Dachstein Mountains and the surrounding mountains. The descent on the other side towards the museum and the small Dachstein Church is also very beautiful.
