While it would make a lot more sense to build a 1 or 2-mile trail simply along Tassajara creek to the hot springs (it might need to carve a few steps, possibly a little dynamite, just at one place of 'The Narrows' canyon), the trail leads instead without a bridge across the wide river and 5 miles up and down 2000 feet an unnecessary steep hill.
