The Church of Santa María la Mayor is located just off Calle González Campos and is one of Ronda's most important religious monuments. The church was built on the remains of a former mosque, the minaret of which has been partially preserved. Construction began in the 15th century and lasted over 200 years, a fact clearly evident in the combination of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements.

Inside, you'll find an impressive main altar, richly decorated chapels, and a beautiful wooden choir. From the balcony, you have a beautiful view of Plaza Duquesa de Parcent, Ronda's historic heart.
