From the Welda town website: "The dominant building in the town center is Welda Castle. The castle with its baroque landscape garden was built between 1733 and 1736 by the noble von Haxthausen family and was later the birthplace of the well-known writer Ferdinande von Brackel (1835-1905)."
(Source welda.de ) - Definitely worth seeing. :) The castle is home to an art and culture gallery as well as an architecture and real estate office.
