The Ciclovía Tirrenica converges in the square of the Ristorante Il Pino. It comes from the bridge over the harbor canal and restarts towards Piombino.

The Torre di Carbonifera is a nineteenth-century structure located in the municipality of Piombino, within the charming Gulf of Follonica, in Tuscany. Unlike other coastal towers in the area built for defensive purposes, this one was constructed as a commercial stopover. It marked the terminal point of the historic railway with which coal extracted from the inland mines reached the sea to be embarked. Today, the tower gives its name to the renowned Spiaggia di Carbonifera, one of the most appreciated seaside resorts in the Maremma.
