This is an awesome climb and descent down to Loch Ness with beautiful views across the area. The top of the pass is around 1,000 feet (304 m) above Loch Ness, opposite Urquhart Castle. On clear days, you can see to Glen Affric, the Moray First and the Black Isle.

This pass is definitely not for bikes. Above 250m elevation the path disappears. I had to carry my bike the rest of the way uphill, and then again downhill for the the path wasn’t passable on foot let alone with a bike due to overgrowth. Took about an hour of intense activity for very little enjoyment, hated it frankly.
