Just a short walk from the popular Loch Ness village of Drumnadrochit, the trails in the Craigmonie Woodland are a real treat. For a lovely viewpoint across the loch, ascend to the top of Craigmonie crag, which was once an Iron Age hillfort and an execution site.

A walk to the viewpoint can be complemented with a visit to Divach Falls to the south. The Affric Kintail Way long-distance footpath arcs around the northeastern edge of the woodland here too, before heading west along Glenurquhart.
