Recently opened stretch of a shared space cycle path running alongside the New River forming part of cycleway 20. This stretch of the route is compacted gravel although should be comfortable on any form of bike (I was riding a road bike with 28mm tyres without issue). On a weekend there was a fair amount of people walking and other cyclists so some care needs to be taken. Would recommend the largely parallel cycleway 1 if getting from A to B quickly is your thing.
