The church was built in 1610-1617 by the foundation of Jonas Karolis and Sofia Chodkevičius (restored in 1971-1978, 1980-1982). It is one of the oldest surviving Gothic and Renaissance churches in Žemaitija. It has seven altars created in the 17th century, a pulpit decorated with carved sculptures. Members of the Chodkevičius family, the founders, are buried under the central altar. All sarcophagi are unique cultural monuments. Significant sacred value - 17th century. St. Anthony's altar and painting.
