This fantastic section of the trail dips into rolling badlands with bentonite buttes, rugged scoria patches, and exposed ridgelines. As the singletrack winds through prairie grasses and scattered juniper, you'll see plenty of active wildlife, including mule deer and coyotes, along with cold-blooded snakes basking peacefully along sunlit trail edges. Make sure to watch your footing as you hike along this beautiful stretch!
