TEMPLE COMPLEX: CHURCHES OF MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL AND THE BURNING BUSH, 1st third - 2nd half of the 19th century
The huge majestic temple in honor of Michael the Archangel, which every traveler sees when approaching the village, was built in 1827 at the expense of the owner of this village, landowner Nikolai Aleksandrovich Buturlin and local peasants. Some time after the construction of the church, a pond was dug across the road by the villagers, which was popularly called Barsky. And in 1867, next to this pond, at the expense of the same Count Buturlin and parishioners of the Michael the Archangel Church, a winter (warm) church was erected in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Burning Bush". According to his will, Nikolai Alexandrovich was to be buried in his former estate Borodino. The deceased master was transported to Suzdal on post horses, and from Suzdal to Borodino the peasants carried the coffin in their arms. At the estate, the count's remains were embalmed and buried in a crypt under the church he had built, where they lay for 46 years.
