The former pilgrimage church of St. Andreas (St. Andrä) dominates a long hill south of Etting and largely represents its visual center. Already from 2000 BC. people settled in the area around St. Andrä and the oldest Etting was also in the vicinity of the Andreaskirche, which is evidenced by artifacts from Roman tombs. The first brick chapel was built at the end of the 15th century. St. Andrä received its current form around 1729. St. Andrä is widely known as an idyllic wedding church.

      Almost an insider tip ...
The church is almost lost in a beautiful location at the gates of the mountains.
We will remember this great place for a long time!

The sight of the free-standing Andreas Kircherl is always wonderful!
