Kistefjellet is a mountain in Troms, with an elevation of 1003 metres a locally dominating feature, and distinct due to its TV mast. The summit provides far-reaching views towards the scenic landscape around.
A road from Finnsnes leads to the TV mast, but there is a barrier so you cannot drive past it, and even without you would not manage through a steep part with a deep groove cutting the road into two (unless you have a classic Land Rover - Hilux no way). However, you can walk the road or take a bicycle.
There is a large parking lot at the Finnsnes ski centre to start the hike. The distance to the peak is quite long, about nine kilometres along the road, but the slope is mostly gentle and surface good to walk, making it a relatively easy hike to a mountain this high.
Instead of going all the way along the road, there are also hiking trails to choose that join to the road closer to the peak.
