Mountain biking

The Roman Catholic deanery parish church of Sillian stands in a magnificent location in the upper part of Sillian-Markt in the market town of Sillian in East Tyrol. The parish church, dedicated to the patronage of Our Lady of the Assumption, is the seat of the Sillian deanery in the Diocese of Innsbruck. The church is a listed monument (listed in the list).

Mountain biking

A priest was mentioned in 1212. A choir was consecrated in 1326. The new Gothic building was consecrated in 1441. The church served as the final resting place for several members of the counts of the House of Gorizia. A flourishing fraternity system had existed since the Middle Ages. The deanery of Sillian was established in 1919 and definitively established in 1921.

In 1759/1761, Josef Adam Mölck remodeled the church in the Baroque style. After a minor interior renovation in 1951, the exterior façade was renovated in 1988. An extensive interior renovation followed in 1995/1996.
