The woman in a white dress who is said to haunt Levoča at night is known as the White Lady of Levoča. She is Julianna Korponay-Géczy, a Hungarian noblewoman from the early 18th century. According to local legend, she opened the city gate of Levoča for the Habsburgs during the Rákóczi Uprisings—and was executed for this in 1714.
