Aside from the big ocean views you get from all the viewpoints closer to the beach, this is my favorite spot. The overlook perches atop eroded sandstone badlands, showcasing candelabra-like Torrey pines silhouetted against the ocean backdrop. In my opinion, you should not miss seeing this spot when you're hiking in the reserve.

I prefer to make this my last stop on the beach trail loop, before heading back up to the road that leads you back to the upper parking lot near the visitors center.
