A remote, windswept burial site used by the MacLeans of Boreray from the 15th to 19th century. Chieftains were rowed here by galley from Boreray for burial rites. Overlooking the sea, the small chapel ruins and grave markers at Àird a’ Mhòrrain offer a powerful glimpse into Hebridean clan history and tradition.
Final resting place for clan chiefs.
