The Trace Creek Section of the Ozark Trail is an enjoyable, quiet route through the rolling hardwood woodlands of Mark Twain National Forest. Although this section lacks the dramatic vistas of other sections of the OT, its charm lies in the solitude, seasonal wildflowers, and the rhythmic crossing of creeks and ridgelines, and it is especially peaceful after a spring rain.
