The church was built in 1907-1909 in the neo-Romanesque style after the 1905 Tsarist manifesto "on strengthening the principles of religious tolerance". The temple was built from stones that local residents collected in the area. During the Soviet era, the church was closed and converted into a dairy. In the 1990s, it was returned to Catholics, restored and re-consecrated in 1993.
