Smettevatnet is beautifully located along the valley floor between the two Tafjordfjella giants of Naushornet and Karitinden. The SignaTUR i Tafjordfjella passes along the eastern shore of the lake on its way between Veltdalshytta and the many amenities at Reindalseter. While the mountainous landscape up here is barren and spectacular, the descent eventually brings you to some glorious old pine forest.
