This col is crossed on the route between the DNT huts of Reindalseter and Pyttbua. With a high point of around 1,500 meters (4,900 ft), snow can linger here long into summer but the crossing is usually straightforward. Nevertheless, microspikes can be very useful and it's advisable to make the crossing on the north side of the snow field.
