The Moinho do Petisco is located in Lugar de Montedor, a district of Carreço. Situated on the hillside of this village, near the cliffs overlooking the sea, this mill enjoys an elevated position in the landscape. Its location allows for a special exposure to the wind, unlike other mills in the area. It is privately owned. A few meters from this mill, the Arriba and Sailor mills, owned by the Viana do Castelo City Council, have also been restored. They were built as a result of the local grain production.
