The waterfall is one of the highest in Belgium with a drop of 15 meters. There is a staircase between the two waterfalls, from where you can admire the impressive flow of water masses. The falls are a tourist attraction so there are a few cafes nearby.

The earliest mention of the town of Coo, under the Latin form “collo”, dates back to 1307. A mill, whose existence is documented from 1483, was fed by the water of the Amel. A beautiful and nostalgic place. The roar of the waterfall is impressive. It is also a reminder of past school trips. The waterfall of Coo was a classic destination for school trips in primary school 40 to 50 years ago.
