Somewhat hidden within the flat-wave Lüneburg Heath, in the Harburg Mountains, the Hasselbrack is the highest natural elevation in Hamburg with an astonishing 116.2 m above sea level. NN.

The contact point for hikers and bikers is located on the southern border of Hamburg to Lower Saxony in the middle of the state forest Rosengarten in the Black Mountains (northern foothills of the Harburger mountains) in the south-southeast of the hamburg district Neugraben-Fischbek.

To marvel there is unfortunately no vision of the landscape at a short rest - but a Gemarkungsstein with inscription and wooden cross.

The highest mountain in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg is the Hasselbrack with a height of 116 m, which is located in the Black Mountains.
Due to environmental protection, there are no signs or markings on the way to get there. Rare birds breed here.
So if you want to go to the Hasselbrack, you should turn on Komoot or take a good map with a compass with you.

In the small tin box is a summit book, in which one can register. In addition, nice people also like to have a cereal bar there.

This is the highest natural elevation of Hamburg. Unfortunately, you do not have a great view here as from other mountains.

Only the highest point in Hamburg. With stone and summit book,
Here I met hikers from Baden who wanted to visit all 16 of the highest points in the German federal states. In Bremen they hope to have found it. This was station 6 and the first with a summit book !!

As the stone suggests, it is not the highest point in the Harburg mountains.

One of the 16 German summits is a must see. Don't forget the summit book entry - the book is in the metal box

Numerous paths lead here through the beautiful mixed forest, and the heather is very close by.
