Once a forestry road, this non-motorized trail offers a great slice of backcountry access. Look for landmarks like Black Rocks, The Notch, White Domes, and the Windlass along the way.

This becomes a very long hike if you go all the way to the high point of the trail, so it's best to have a realistic turnaround time in mind before you set out. Don't worry — the views are incredible, even if you don't go all the way.
