At the edge of the path there is a memorial plaque and two benches to take a break. Apparently a farmer from Schottheide was attacked here on his way back from Klever Markt after a good deal. Pastor Gerd Siebers had the memorial plaque put up and wrote the inscription on flat plate.
For those who don't understand Cleefse Platt:
