    At the edge of the path is a commemorative plaque and two benches to pause. Apparently, a farmer from Schottheide, on the way back from the Klever market, was robbed for a good deal. Pastor Gerd Siebers had the plaque put up and wrote the inscription on Platt.
    For those who do not understand Cleefse Platt:
    "The money for the cow I sold in Kleve did not last long.
    Here robbers beat me dead.
    Read praying, oh blood carved in stone.
    What did a widow from Schottheide suffer? "
