A great view, it drive here even big ships close by! However, if you have a complete view of the complex of the church (photograph) would like to drive or run on the Glienicke bridge - (only) from there, the typical free-standing church tower is completely visible!

To the south of Potsdam's Sacrow district stands the Heilandskirche at the port of Sacrow, also known as the "Heilandskirche" or "Sacrower Kirche".
You can park in front of the castle. Then walk a bit.

Since the official vantage point of the Savior Church is currently overgrown and you can not see much from there, this view is the current "secret tip" if you want to have a clear view of the church. :)

Headland between Pfaueninsel and Volkspark Klein-Glienicke with a wonderful view over the Havel and the Pfaueninsel. The Potsdam water taxi runs regularly during the season from Potsdam Central Station to the Krughorn.
    A very nice spot.

View of the church of Sacrow directly on the water, looks very close from here, it takes a long time to get there by bike, since you have to drive over the Glienicke Bridge and over Potsdam (Krampnitz). Or you can just take the water taxi or the Wannsee-Kladow ferry and then the last part by bike. In the past, the church was located directly on the border strip, today the Wall Trail also passes by, a very nice path. On this side, too, the way from Pfaueninsel to Glienicke Bridge with the view over there is very beautiful.

It stands quiet and dreamy on the bank: the Heilandskirche Sacrow. Built in Italian style with a free-standing campanile and located directly on the Jungfernsee, the small church has Mediterranean charm.
Friedrich Wilhelm IV. Personally provided the first sketches and drafts for a small church with a campanile, a free-standing bell tower - in the Italian style, as it is common in Italy, but not in Prussia. His favorite architect, Ludwig Persius, oversees the planning of the church from 1844 onwards. It is located near the Sacrow Castle in the park designed by Peter Joseph Lenné. As part of the UNESCO World Heritage, the park is part of the Potsdam palace landscape.
The church is modeled on an anchored ship. Models are early Christian sacred buildings. The church has a flat ceiling and gives the impression of a three-aisled basilica. The building is made of yellow brick, adorned with blue tiles. A colonnade on the waterfront lines the church and offers wonderful views over the lake. Inside, a magnificent fresco in the Byzantine style is an eye-catcher. Like the main house, the campanile is made of yellow brick. A memorial plaque reminds us that the first German antenna system for wireless telegraphy was located here in 1897.
