The iron truss bridge built in 1906-1907 not only connects Potsdam and Berlin. It also offers beautiful views of the Havel landscape with Jungfernsee (to the north of the bridge) and Glienicker Lake (to the south). The bridge is not only picturesque and really worth seeing but it also has a very colorful historical past. After the war (WW2) it was painstakingly restored by the Russians and served during the Cold War. a. to exchange agents. In the area there are numerous hiking possibilities and sights (eg castle Babelsberg, from whose hill you have again a fantastic view of the bridge and the surrounding waters.
