Hiking Highlight

In the area there are numerous hiking possibilities and sights (eg castle Babelsberg, from whose hill you have again a fantastic view of the bridge and the surrounding waters.

Today, the bridge is an unspectacular connection to Potsdam, but has a very nice view over the magical Havel landscape to offer.

Nice view from the Glienicke Bridge. No matter what happens on the water. You can see the Babelsberg Castle on one side, but the Heilandskirche is nice to look at.

The so-called Spy Bridge is not only known from numerous films, history was also made here for a long time. Did you know that the bridge was named the Bridge of Unity after the war and that private individuals were no longer allowed to travel from 1957 until 1989?

In the Cold War the border with the GDR can be strolled wonderfully between the various castles and parks - a great trip in summer and winter when the weather is nice

The iron truss bridge built in 1906-1907 not only connects Potsdam and Berlin. It also offers beautiful views of the Havel landscape with Jungfernsee (to the north of the bridge) and Glienicker Lake (to the south). Of course, the bridge became known as an agent exchange station during the division of Germany.
