Hiking
Construction of the airfield began in 1941 between the villages of Dale and Marloes. RAF Dale opened on June 1, 1942. The airfield had three triangular asphalt and concrete runways measuring 1,065 m (3,495 ft), 1,285 m (4,215 ft), and 1,458 m (4,785 ft).
