Luckau Town Hall is the administrative building of the town of Luckau in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1675 and has been used continuously for its intended purpose ever since. The town hall is a registered architectural monument in the Brandenburg State Register of Historic Monuments.

On May 28, 1403, a town hall in Luckau was first mentioned. It was initially damaged in a fire in 1644, and eight years later, it burned down completely. In the following period, the town hall was rebuilt in the late Renaissance style, and on November 11, 1675, the knob was placed on the town hall tower. Between 1694 and 1698, the building was gradually expanded, including the addition of a bushel measure at the entrance. After the abolition of the patrimonial courts and the introduction of the royal court martial in Luckau in 1849, the town hall building was expanded by 1852 to accommodate the increasing administrative tasks, and the building acquired its current appearance.[1]

In 1913, the interior of the town hall was redesigned and the rooms reorganized. Plans for an expansion of the building began in 1939, but were shelved, partly due to the outbreak of World War II, which broke out shortly thereafter. In 1969, the facade was renovated, and a thorough restoration of the town hall was carried out between 1996 and 1997.[2] The facade, windows, roof, and sanitary facilities were repaired, the heating and electrical systems were replaced, and the town hall was made barrier-free. On November 30, 1996, the town hall cellar was reopened.

The exterior of the town hall is structured by ashlar plaster, cornices, and a main cornice with a dentil frieze. The windows are flat-arched on the ground floor and round-arched on the upper floors. The arcades, supported by pilasters, were bricked up in 1922, and windows were installed there. The low, four-story town hall tower was added as part of the extension; the two lower floors are part of a historic 17th-century extension. Inside, the vaulted former town hall cellar from the Gothic predecessor building has been preserved. The town hall hall, built in 1852, originally occupied the entire central section of the town hall. In 1922, part of the hall was separated off as a corridor.[3]
