This vantage point at the cemetery of Dahlem-Kronenburg lies at an altitude of 580 meters above sea level.
The place Kronenburg is strategically located on a rocky peak above the Kyll valley. Therefore, a castle was built here very early, from which the entire upper Kyll valley could be controlled. The first written mention of this castle dates back to 1277.
Below the village in Kylltal is the Kronenburger See with its leisure facilities. The lake dams Kyll, which rises on the German-Belgian border over a length of about 1.5 kilometers and an area of 28 ha.
The lake was originally built as a rainwater retention basin, but today also serves tourist purposes.

Can be integrated into the Camino de Santiago. The view on the Baasem Kronenburg section is exhilarating anyway. Super great distant views.
