St. Lambert's Church is located at the highest point of the village of Mheer, at the T-junction of the Noorbeek-St. Geertruid and Mheer-Banholt roads. To the east, the church borders the monumental Mheer Castle, separated from it by a dry moat. The cemetery borders the church to the north.

The Lambertus church is located at the highest point of the village of Mheer at the T-junction of the roads Noorbeek-St.Geertruid and Mheer-Banholt. To the east, the church borders the monumental castle of Mheer, separated from it by a dry moat. The cemetery borders the churchyard on the north side of the church.

It is a single-nave, neo-Gothic cruciform church in brick with a three-sided closed choir with a constricted spire. The longitudinal axis of the church runs east-west, with the head facing west.
