Großer Ammelshain Quarry Lake

To the east of Leipzig lies the Haselberg quarry lake in Ammelshain. The lake is operated by the Tauchsportlandesverband Sachsen, guests from other states can dive the lake for a daily fee and stay overnight in the base at the lake.The quarry falls in several stages down to a maximum depth of 29 m. At the entrance you will find remainders from the quarry time. A Lorenstrecke leads into the depths, at the end of which are also several Loren, with which earlier the rock was taken from the quarry.

In the past you could still swim there. Unfortunately, the quarry is now only partially accessible with private land.

Well, I still saw some swimming in it.. But actually there is a no-trespassing sign every 5 meters.
