Lake Mondsee is a beautiful lake in the Salzkammergut region. There is a lovely cycle path around it (unfortunately with interruptions) and there are always wonderful views of the surrounding mountains.

The section along the relatively quiet road on the south bank offers magnificent views, but unfortunately, the opportunity for short photo stops is hampered by a continuous guardrail (preventing illegal parking of cars).
