The neo-Gothic church was built between 1895 and 1960 according to plans by the architects Raymond Barbaud and Édouard Bauhain. The nave, divided into five bays, was completed in 1899. Construction of the crypt continued until 1914, and the choir was built in 1929.
The stained-glass windows, added in 1942, were made by the Mauméjean brothers.
