The Neustrelitz city harbor is an ideal starting point for cycling, hiking and paddling tours through the Mecklenburg Small Lake District.
We recommend a walk through the baroque city complex and the palace gardens. The beauty of nature in the Serrahner Buchenwald World Heritage Site, 15 km away, is particularly accessible by bike.
The tour around Lake Zierker begins at the city harbor with its imposing warehouse buildings.
From the port, head south on a signposted path.
Beautiful sights, such as the former ducal laundry rinsing house and the White Bridge, lie along the way to the Slavic village.
The adventure village is always worth a trip because of its historically modeled facility.
This is followed by the castle paddock with species-rich mixed forests, swamp and swamp areas.
We continue in the direction of Lindenberg.
Arriving in the village via the Kammerkanal, the path turns right.
In Prälank, a detour to the boulder garden is worthwhile.
It continues on a section of the Mecklenburg Lake District pilgrimage route, which leads a total of 250 km through the lake district, along extensive low-moor meadows. In Torwitz the path turns right towards Zierke.
At the lake, a vantage point invites you to linger.
From here, the path leads along the shore to the city harbor, where the hiker will find a wide range of gastronomic offers and the motorhome parking space.
From the pier, where the passenger ship docks and casts off during the season, there is another magnificent view of the lake.
