Former Ernsthausen Station – Disused Stop on the Weil Valley Railway

Ernsthausen Station was a small stop on the Weil Valley Railway, which ran from Weilburg via Weilmünster to Grävenwiesbach. Although less important than other stations like Weilmünster, it still served passenger traffic and the transport of agricultural goods. Passenger traffic was discontinued in 1962, and the line was completely closed in 1990. Today, the former station building is privately owned and located directly on the Weil Valley Trail, a popular cycling and hiking trail that runs along the former railway line. A seating area invites you to rest and recalls the bygone railway era.
