Cesulì de Bregn Chapel

Cesulì de Bregn, also known as Santella di Bregn, is a small chapel located between Nasolino and Valzurio, along the ancient municipal road. It was a resting place for wayfarers and carters, who stopped here after the tiring climb or to shelter from sudden storms.The small shrine is frescoed with sacred images, including the Madonna with Child, Saint Anthony the Abbot, Saint Bernard of Menton and Saint Margaret, patron saint of Valzurio. On the sides there are depictions of Saint Gaetano and Saint Rocco, although more deteriorated by time.In 2008, the chapel was restored thanks to the work of volunteers and collaboration with the local parish, bringing it back to its original architecture. Today it is a symbol of popular devotion and a point of reference for hikers who walk the trails in the area.
