The Catholics built their parish church in 1861. The architect of this early neo-Gothic church building was P. Soffers.
In 1928, the church was renovated, with the addition of the side aisles. A choir had already been added under the leadership of Wolter te Riele. In 1999, the church was renovated and fitted with stained glass windows.
In 2009, it was announced that mergers with neighbouring parishes would take place and in 2013 the church was withdrawn from worship.
In 2019, this former church was saved from demolition and converted into a restaurant.
