The railway border bridge over the Lusatian Neisse in Łęknica was built in 1907 and is today the only and most interesting site reminding us of the era of railway operation on the Muskau Arch. The bridge is 186.4 meters long and consists of eight 22-meter-long, six-bay truss arch spans and one shortened span of 10.4 meters. The structure is supported by two reinforced concrete abutments and eight supports, two of which are permanently submerged in water when the Lusatian Neisse is in normal condition. The bridge's unique feature was its southwest-facing curve, as it connected routes approaching the river from different directions, forming a right angle to each other. The bridge was destroyed during the war in 1945. It was renovated in 1954, but regular traffic was never restored. Following the closure of the Łęknica–Raduszec Stary railway line, the tracks were dismantled, and the railway bridge in Łęknica was revitalized on the railway embankment as part of the cross-border "Adventure with Nysa" project in 2014. It was adapted to pedestrian and bicycle traffic, creating a 37-kilometer cycle path from Bad Muskau through Łęknica, Trzebiel, and Tuplice to Brody. As a result, Łęknica and Bad Muskau have become a Euro-regional hub for Lubusz Voivodeship cycle paths with Saxony and Brandenburg.
