From track 2 (southeast side of the railway line) there is a walking and cycling route in a south-westerly direction that connects the station with the village of Brecht. This first runs between the railway line and the motorway, and then ends via the Koetunnel under the motorway at a business and football field. Via a residential area, the train passengers reach the centre of the village.

This tunnel is still known to many Brecht residents as the Koetunnel. This tunnel was constructed during the construction of the E19 to BredA and was intended for a farmer who had meadows on both sides of the highway. This way the farmer could take the cows from one pasture to another. The farmer in question has hardly used this tunnel himself and this tunnel has become increasingly popular with cyclists and pedestrians. When Noorderkempen station was opened, this tunnel was renovated into a real cyclists and pedestrians tunnel.
